Released on March 19, the new DLC features a new map entitled the Temple of Purgation, also known as the Red Forest, a new killer named The Plague and a new hero named Jane Romero, but the most notable new additions are perks entitled “Mettle of Man,” “Buckle Up” and “Flip-Flop,” all of which are rare to achieve in game.

In addition to be references to the franchise itself, the perks are all labelled as the “Ashley J. The perks have so far only appeared in the PlayStation 4 version of the DLC and Behaviour has now confirmed the character as a playable survivor in the game.

In addition, the developer revealed the return of three fan favorite characters including:

• Liu Kang, the greatest of the Shaolin monks, was an orphan adopted and trained in the arts of combat by the Shaolin order. He was handpicked by Raiden to be Earthrealm’s Mortal Kombat champion and chief defender.

• Kung Lao joined the Shaolin monks in a quest to become Earthrealm’s new Mortal Kombat champion. Reckless and rebellious, but courageous and indomitable, Kung Lao fights to prove worthy of his glorious ancestors.

Sony Announces Iron Man VR for PlayStation 4

Sony Announces Iron Man VR for PlayStation 4

After both Iron Man movie tie-in games failed to impress critics and fans in 2008 and 2010, it seemed unlikely that the armored Avenger would get another chance to headline his own video game. But Tony Stark will make his triumphant return to consoles later this year. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is releasing Iron Man VR, a new virtual reality experience exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

Sony announced the game today at its inaugural State of Play livestream event, which unveiled a slew of new video games in development. Accompanying the announcement was a new trailer giving audiences an idea of what to expect from the game. Players will don the system’s VR headset and see the world through the eyes of Tony Stark and his armored alter-ego. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will surely delight in being able to experience Tony’s iconic heads-up display for themselves. And of course, it looks like gamers will have full command of Iron Man’s arsenal of weapons, including repulsors and unibeam. Judging by the footage shown, it looks like Ghost will be the game’s primary antagonist. Tony’s onboard A.I., Friday, will also be making an appearance in hologram form.

This won’t be the first time that Sony has tried its hand at superhero-based VR gaming. In 2016, they released Batman: Arkham VR, which was developed by Rocksteady Studios. That game was criticized for placing too much emphasis on puzzles over actual combat. However, if Iron Man VR’s trailer serves as any indication, this new effort won’t be making the same mistakes.

Iron Man VR is still without a release date. You can check out the announcement trailer below. Will you be picking up a copy of the game once it’s available? Give us your impressions in the comment section!

Google Announces Gaming Platform Stadia

Google Announces Gaming Platform Stadia

At a press conference today, Google officially announced their new video game platform, Stadia, which delivers instant access to your favorite games on any type of screen— TV, laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile phone. The platform, which doesn’t require a traditional box or console, will debut later this year and have games available in 4K and at 60 frames per second.

When players use Stadia, they’ll be able to access their games at all times, and on virtually any screen. And developers will have access to nearly unlimited resources to create the games they’ve always dreamed of. It’s a powerful hardware stack combining server class GPU, CPU, memory and storage, and with the power of Google’s data center infrastructure, Stadia can evolve as quickly as the imagination of game creators.

Data centers make Stadia possible, but what sets the system apart is how it works with other Google services. In a world where there are more than 200 million people watching game-related content daily on YouTube, Stadia makes many of those games playable with the press of a button. If you watch one of your favorite creators playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, simply click the “play now” button.Seconds later, you’ll be running around ancient Greece in your own game/on your own adventure—no downloads, no updates, no patches and no installs.

But what’s a gaming platform without its own dedicated controller? Check out the Stadia controller!

The Stadia controller will have a direct connection from to the data center through Wi-Fi for the best possible gaming performance. The controller also includes a button for instant capture, saving and sharing gameplay in up to 4k of stunning resolution. And it comes equipped with a Google Assistant button and built-in microphone.

Stadia will launch later this year in the US, UK, Europe, and Canada.
